GitCode requires users to associate an effective email address with their GitCode account. This allows:
- Ensuring that code contributions associated with the email account are linked to the GitCode account.
- Password reset, account recovery, phone unbinding, and important notifications via email.
You can manage email-related settings in "Personal Settings" -> "Account Management" -> "Email".
Usage Preference Settings
In "Personal Settings" -> "Account Management" -> "Preferences", you can customize your code browsing experience based on your personal habits. You can set the number of spaces corresponding to the Tab/Tab key during code rendering and choose the default code syntax highlighting theme to achieve a more comfortable visual experience when browsing and editing code.
Notification Settings
In "Personal Settings" -> "Account Management" -> "Notification Settings", you can customize the notifications you need to receive by checking the checkboxes.
Notifications are divided into two categories: System Notifications and Project/Organization Notifications. System notifications include @mentions and audit messages, while project/organization notifications include PR status changes, issue status changes, and invitation messages.
You can choose to receive these notifications through internal messages or email (multiple selections supported), ensuring you stay informed about important updates in a timely manner.
Basic account settings are essential for protecting your account security and enhancing your usage experience. It is recommended to regularly check and update your account information to ensure both security and operational convenience.
