Notifications

GitCode notifications can provide users with real-time information about their activities on GitCode. These notifications help users stay informed about important information related to projects, Issues, Pull Requests, discussions, team collaboration, and more.

Notification Entry


Click the "bell" icon in the top right corner of the navigation bar to enter the Message Center.

Notification Viewing and Management


  • Notification Center: In the notification management module, users can focus on viewing Unread Messages and All Messages.

  • Notification Details: The notification details page allows you to view detailed content, including code repositories, issues, PRs, discussions, etc.

Types of Notifications


The system will immediately send you relevant notifications when the following scenarios occur. The specific scenarios are as follows:

  1. A related PR is reviewed or you are invited to review someone else's PR.
  2. There are new operations such as creating or updating an issue in the project.
  3. There are actions involving you on the platform that are associated via @yourname.
  4. A project developer's application is approved.
  5. When there are review messages.
  6. The project generates new dynamics such as merge requests.

Notification Settings


You can set up related message notifications through "Personal Settings" -> "Notification Settings" to decide the channels for receiving relevant messages.

  • Currently, GitCode supports the following notification services and channels as shown in the image below: Image

Notification Channels

GitCode notifications can be delivered through multiple channels to ensure users receive information promptly:

  1. Website Notifications: You can view and manage notifications in the Notification Center on the GitCode website. This is the most common way to check notifications.
  2. Email Notifications: GitCode will send notifications to your authenticated email so you can stay informed about important information even when not logged into GitCode.
