One, Definitions
(1) Personal Information: Refers to various types of information recorded electronically or otherwise that relate to identified or identifiable natural persons, excluding anonymized information.
(2) Sensitive Personal Information: Refers to personal information that, if leaked or used illegally, can easily lead to infringement on the dignity of natural persons or endanger their personal or property safety. This includes biometric identification, religious beliefs, specific identities, medical health, financial accounts, travel trajectory information, as well as personal information of minors under fourteen years old.
(3) Processing of Personal Information: Includes the collection, storage, use, processing, transmission, provision, disclosure, deletion, etc., of personal information.
Other concepts not mentioned in this privacy policy follow the definitions set out in relevant laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China.
Two, How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
(1) Account Registration
When you complete the registration process on GitCode, we may need you to provide a phone number, username, and possibly a password to ensure account security. If you refuse to provide the above information, you will not be able to register a GitCode account and can only use browsing and search services.
(2) Third-party Account Login Function
In addition to account registration on this platform, when you log in to the platform via a third-party account, you need to authorize us to collect information such as the nickname, profile picture, username, phone number, and email address from the third-party platform. You understand that, based on the real-name system requirement for providing information services, the aforementioned information is necessary for logging into the platform via a third-party account. If you cannot provide the above information, you will not be able to log in via a third-party account. The aforementioned information will only be collected when you first log in via a third-party account.
(3) Personal Profile Display
This platform provides a personal profile editing function. You can enrich and perfect your personal profile through the editing feature. For this purpose, we will collect user-provided nicknames, profile pictures, email addresses, GitHub accounts, personal websites, companies, locations, and personal introductions. The above information will be collected each time you edit your personal profile. You understand that the above personal information is voluntarily provided by you. If you cannot provide the above information, it will not affect your use of other functions of the platform except for personal profile editing and display. Please note that your personal profile information may be visible to other users of the platform.
(4) SSH Public Key Creation
An SSH public key is used to establish a more secure connection between your computer and this platform. This platform can generate an SSH public key for you. The SSH public key and its name are set and generated by you voluntarily. The above personal information is voluntarily provided by you. If you cannot provide the above information, it will not affect your use of other functions of the platform except for the SSH public key creation function.
(5) Obtaining Information from Third Parties
Within the limits allowed by law, based on your authorization, in order to provide you with more optimized services and meet your personalized needs, we may receive your personal information or other information from our affiliates or partners. Additionally, we will also collect shared personal information about you provided by third parties when they use our products or services.
In the above scenarios, sensitive personal information such as your ID documents, detailed address, payment information (bank account, bank transaction number), etc., may be involved. The purpose of collecting such information includes meeting relevant legal requirements for online real-name authentication, verifying your user identity, and fulfilling the necessary obligations of contracts signed with you, such as providing consultation or technical support, issuing invoices, and sending goods.

We may base personal information statistics to design, develop, promote new products and services; we will statistically analyze the usage of our services and may share these statistical information with the public or third parties, but these statistical information do not contain any identity recognition information of yours.

When you contact our customer service, we may need you to provide necessary information to match and verify your identity to ensure the security of your account and system. We may also save your contact information (the contact information you use when communicating with us or proactively provided to us, such as phone numbers, emails), communication/phone records and content with us, and other necessary information related to your needs, to contact you or help you solve problems, or record the solutions and results of relevant issues.

You can post your technical views and interact with other users on the platform. To provide such services, we will collect the information you upload, publish, or form (which may include images, text, article comments uploaded by you), and have the right to display your username, nickname, avatar, and published content.

If you do not wish to accept this service, you can unsubscribe or withdraw your consent through the methods shown in the "Eight, (Four) Withdrawal of Consent" section of this privacy policy. After unsubscribing or withdrawing, we will no longer provide this service to you.

(9) Device Information and Log Information

To ensure the security of software services and your account, as well as the quality and efficiency of service operations, we will collect your device information (including IMEI, device serial number, OAID, MEID, Android ID, IMSI, GUID, MAC address, SIM card serial number), SN, hardware model, operating system version, device name, device configuration, clipboard information, international mobile equipment identity code, unique device identifier, network device hardware address, IP address, WLAN access point, Bluetooth, software version number, network access method, type, status, network quality data, operation, usage, service logs. - Sharing with Business Partners to Provide Services
We may share your personal information with third-party partners such as business partners to ensure the smooth delivery of services provided to you. However, we will only share your information for legitimate, proper, necessary, specific, and clear purposes, and only the information necessary to provide services will be shared. To ensure the security and privacy of your personal information, we have explicitly stipulated in agreements the responsibilities, obligations, and requirements for protecting your personal information by partners. Partners may have their own independent privacy policies and user agreements, and we recommend that you read and comply with the user agreements and privacy policies of third parties. (1) Huawei Cloud: As necessary for using the platform services, after you register or log in to the platform, before using the code hosting service provided by the platform, you need to authorize and activate the Huawei Cloud service provided by Huawei Cloud Computing Technology Co., Ltd. ("Huawei Cloud"). With your separate consent, we will provide your phone number and username to Huawei Cloud.
(2) Other Third-Party Partners: To complete service delivery or after-sales service, we may share your personal information with third-party partners who support the aforementioned functions of the platform, including third parties that supply goods or provide infrastructure technology services, data processing services, etc.
(2) Entrusted Processing
We may entrust authorized partners to process your personal information so that they can represent us in providing certain services or fulfilling functions. We will only entrust them to process your information for legitimate, proper, necessary, specific, and clear purposes stated in this policy. Authorized partners will only have access to the information necessary for performing their duties, and we will require them through agreements to not use this information for any purposes beyond the scope of the entrusted processing. If an authorized partner uses your information for purposes we have not entrusted them with, they will seek your separate consent. The types of authorized partners we entrust include the following:

Code Hosting Service: Based on the need to provide code hosting services, we will entrust a cloud service technology provider to provide code hosting services, process, store, or host your content ("your content" refers to all information transmitted, stored, or processed by you in any format while using this service, including personal information, code, software, devices, text, images, video, audio, photos, third-party applications, materials). The cloud service technology provider will only provide code hosting services within the scope of our platform’s commission and in accordance with our instructions. We will require them through strict data processing agreements or confidentiality agreements signed with Huawei Cloud to handle personal information in accordance with our instructions, this privacy policy, and any other relevant confidentiality and security measures, ensuring they do not actively obtain or access your personal information or any other data generated when you use this platform.

Content Review Service: To meet the statutory requirements for internet information content security and account information security management of this platform, we may entrust one or more information content review technology service providers to assist us in fulfilling our legal obligations for platform content governance. We will sign strict data processing agreements or confidentiality agreements with the entrusted content review technology service providers. You understand that, during the review process, multiple forms such as machine or human review may be used to review and process the information you submit, upload, or make public, but we will take necessary desensitization measures to ensure information security, and these content review technology providers will carry out data processing.

Customer Service: To timely handle your complaints, suggestions, and other requests, we may entrust one or more customer service providers to handle your related personal information so that we can promptly understand, handle, and respond to your needs. We will sign strict data processing agreements or confidentiality agreements with customer service providers. You understand that, during the process of handling customer complaints, voice or text records of your account information, complaints, suggestions, or other requests may be collected and used, and necessary feedback on complaint handling results may be provided to you via the phone number or other communication methods you reserved on the platform.

(3) Transfer
We will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization, or individual, except in the following cases:

(1) What are Cookies and Similar Technologies

Five, How We Respond to Your Requests for Personal Information Rights
(1) Querying, Correcting, and Supplementing Personal Information
You can query, correct, and supplement your personal information through the 【Personal Settings - User Profile】.
(2) Deleting Personal Information

You can delete your personal information through the 【Personal Settings - User Profile】, or delete all information in your GitCode account by canceling your GitCode account, except where otherwise provided by laws, regulations, or industry regulatory rules.

If you cannot independently delete information through the aforementioned methods, you can also submit a personal information deletion request to us through the ways shown under "Nine, Contact Us" in this privacy policy. Normally, we will process your request within 15 days.
3. After you or we assist you in deleting relevant information, due to applicable laws and security technology limitations, we may not be able to immediately delete the corresponding information from the system. We will safely store your personal information and restrict any further processing until it can be cleared or anonymized.
(3) Withdrawal of Consent
You can change the scope of our continued collection of personal information or withdraw your authorization by deleting information or disabling functions. You can also withdraw our continued collection of your personal information by canceling your account. However, your decision to withdraw consent or authorization will not affect the processing of personal information based on previous authorization.
Please understand that each business function requires some basic personal information to be completed. After withdrawing consent or authorization, we will no longer be able to continue providing the services corresponding to the withdrawn consent or authorization, and we will no longer process your corresponding personal information.
(4) Account Cancellation
You can apply to cancel your account through the methods shown under "Nine, Contact Us". After canceling your account, we will stop providing services to you. Unless otherwise provided by law, we will delete your personal information. After cancellation, the account cannot be restored. If you wish to enjoy the relevant services again, you will need to re-register for an account.
(5) How We Respond to Your Rights Requests
To ensure security, you may need to provide a written request or prove your identity in other ways. We may first ask you to verify your identity before processing your request. Normally, we will respond within 15 days.
For reasonable requests, we will generally not charge fees. However, for repeated requests exceeding reasonable limits, we may charge certain costs depending on the situation. We may reject requests that are groundless, require excessive technical means (for example, requiring the development of new systems or fundamentally changing current practices), pose risks to the legitimate rights and interests of others, or are highly impractical (for example, involving information stored on backup tapes).
