Basic Settings
Basic settings in organization settings include basic information about the organization, user management, project settings, and data statistics. These settings are designed to help effectively manage the organization and its operations, ensuring smooth team collaboration and enhancing overall work efficiency.
Accessing Basic Settings
- If you are an organization administrator, the navigation bar will display an organization settings item. Click "Organization Settings", which will take you to the basic settings of that organization.
- The basic settings are divided into five modules: Basic Settings, Organization Information, README Configuration, Organization Home Module, and Advanced Settings.
Basic Settings
- The basic settings module displays the organization name and description. If you need to make changes, you can directly modify them in the input box. After completing the modification, click "Save" below the README module to successfully apply the changes.
Organization Information
Organization information includes basic details such as the logo, email, website, and location, and supports setting visibility to public or private. New projects can choose to inherit organization members and permissions or manage independently to meet different permission requirements.
- Organization Visibility:
Public Mode: The organization is visible to everyone, suitable for organizations that require transparency.
Private Mode: Organization information is only visible to internal members, suitable for organizations that require confidentiality.
Note: If there are any public projects within the organization, the organization's visibility cannot be set to private.
README Configuration
README configuration settings:
- Enable Organization README
After enabling, the organization homepage will display the content of the configured README file.
- README Display Method
Full Display: Show the complete README content on the homepage.
Folded: Display the README content folded on the homepage; click to expand and view detailed content.
- Branch/File Path Selection
Select the branch and path where the README file is located from the project.
- After completing the setup, click the save button to apply the changes.
Organization Home Module
- You can customize the content displayed on the organization homepage by checking the options. After making modifications, click "Save" to apply the changes.
Deleting/Modifying Organization Path
Enter the target path you want to modify in the input box and click "Change Organization Path" to modify the organization path.
Once the organization path is modified, the original path will no longer be available. Please proceed with caution.
- Click "Delete Organization" to delete the organization.
Deleting the organization will also delete all sub-projects, including archived projects and their related resources. Deleted organizations cannot be recovered. Please proceed with caution!
